Resveratrol and The French Paradox - 3/5/2007

There have been hundreds of medical and scientific studies published during recent years, all attesting to the benefits of red wine and it's association with good health, particularly heart realted heath effects.
Resveratrol, reputed to be the secret (or part of the secret) behind the "French Paradox", is a naturally-occurring chemical in grapes, peanuts and other plants and is a potent antioxidant.
There is now evidence suggesting that this may be able to replicate the life-extending effects seen in lab test on yeast and mice to humans. David Sinclair, leads the Harvard University study on three groups of mice.
