You wonder how stupid people can be?
I have lived in SE Asia for five years and seen a lot of stupid stuff here. I admit that in the past there have been cases of stunningly stupid parents in the U.S. who smear honey on their children's faces to get the bear in Yellowstone National Park to lick the child's face. But in this case, I don't know what's more appalling: the parents actually doing this or the non-reaction of some local people in the country where I live taking a "mai pen rai" attitude toward it ("Oh, well, no problem. Baby not hurt.") Regardless, I'd like to see the parents of this kid tracked down and thrown in a cobra pit with no way out.
